Reviews: I am not paid to do reviews or recommend products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. I do not claim to be an expert; I bring you information based on my personal experience with the products and brands that I feature. All products reviewed are purchased with my own money, unless indicated otherwise. I will accept products from large companies and small businesses for consideration (as long as they align with my blog purpose), but will not guarantee their review. In most cases, I try to review everything I try, either alone or with other products. I will always give my honest opinion and provide pros and cons for any product I review. If I really enjoy a product, there is a very good chance it will have its own feature, but I will also review products I dislike or am on the fence about. Just because something doesn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else! How I acquired each product will be disclosed at the beginning of each review.
Ingredients: For all reviews, you will find color coded product ingredients based upon their ratings on EWG (I build reports for each product). A green ingredient scores a 0-2 and is low hazard. I try to review products with mostly green ingredients. Orange ingredients score 3-6 and are moderate hazard. Sometimes orange ingredients are used in products I review, but generally I will make sure they are not rated above a 4. Red ingredients are high hazard and score 7-10, but you should not see reds in any of the products reviewed on this blog. Please visit my Ingredients to Avoid page for further information and potential concerns regarding specific ingredients.
Potential Allergens: Because I suffer from environmental and food allergies, I have decided to add a section to all reviews indicating potential allergens. This is something that I think will be beneficial to those of you that are highly sensitive to certain ingredients.
Photos: All photos used in my blog posts are a product of my little Fuji, unless noted otherwise. I will clearly source any images that I am using under permission.
Medical Disclaimer: I am NOT a medical professional and cannot be held responsible for any adverse reactions you may have should you choose to try a product I recommend. All information regarding the potential benefits of a product, or any personal experiences I share should not be used to diagnose or treat any conditions that you may have. If you are unsure of a product or its ingredients, please consult your doctor before use. I am also NOT an optician, optometrist, or ophthalmologist, so keep in mind that all of the information I provide regarding eyewear is based on my own research and my experiences over the last 20+ years of wearing spectacles. Again, if you have questions about your vision or prescription, please consult your doctor or an eye professional.
Naturally Beautiful posts: Naturally Beautiful encompasses everything you use on a daily basis to keep yourself looking smashing, including bath & body care, skin care, makeup, and hair products. I will review products for both men and women. Sometimes I will ask friends and family to test products for me (especially for men’s products) and will include this information and the tester’s feedback in my reviews. First Impressions posts will cover products that I have tested for a shorter time and full reviews will be written after several months of use.
Naturally Healthy posts: Naturally Healthy encompasses food, wellness, and fitness. I will post my allergy-friendly food finds, talk about natural remedies that I have tried, and sometimes include posts about sports and/or exercise.
Quirky (Naturally) posts: For now, Quirky (Naturally) encompasses everything that you use to represent your personality and will mostly include fashion items (clothing, jewelry, shoes, and bags). Every now and then, you may also find gift items, home goods, or collectibles in this section. As I have recently decided to slowly begin purchasing more fair trade items, I will clearly mark everything that falls into this subcategory. And last, I will also be dedicating a subcategory to spectacles, where I’ll give you some tips for selecting frames and lenses, as well as where to shop!
Curiouser Shops: This section is my way of paying homage to small businesses with unique goods. Each spotlight will feature information about lesser known shops and interviews with their owners. I either seek out shops that I like, or they find me. I do offer each shop the opportunity to include a giveaway or coupon code as part of their spotlight, but I am not paid to feature these businesses.
